I learned how to freeze brand myself, bought brands and did all my own
horses. It was so much cheaper than Kryo Kinetics. I branded their actual
registration numbers on their neck. I did more for IDing the horse for several
reasons, one where a woman died leaving a pasture full of grey mares no one knew
who they were. Three had freeze brands so their papers were sold with them, the
rest went without papers. I have seen horses get sold, resold and papers lost
down the road.
