Excuse me, John, but I certainly said no such thing, and I don't believe Catfish did either. In fact, I have repeatedly said just the opposite. Furthermore, I highly resent being accused of saying things that I didn't. Recognizing that something stems from culture does not make it right or acceptable. It is the very fact that an abuse has cultural roots that makes it so difficult to change it by legislation. It takes changing a way of thinking of a group of people--and that takes people and involvement.
