Re: [RC] UAE Involvement in AERC Functions - Bette Lamore
I guess individual citizens always have thte right to do business with
anyone so long as it is not a US boycott, and I doubt, given our
situation with gas and oil right now, that the US gov is going to
boycott on the basis on camel slavery (althugh I could be surprised).
However, I am in the same boat as you, Liv, my sales would not suffer
at the hands on any boycott (although there is a Halynov daughter in
the Sheik's stabel in the UAE -- sold by someone else). I am hopeful
that she is treated much kinder than the camel riders and is doing well.

A boycott has been used in the past as a
valuable tool to get international attention -- it certainly deserves
consideration.
Guess this means no more Big Money sales of Arabian horses to Big
Buyers from certain countries then? (Not that I have anything to worry
about).
