What has been everyones experience with the white hairs.   Does it ever come back in normal color, or has the damage been done and will be white from then on?

Most likely a high pressure point at the location of the white hair. The while hair could be an indication of damage from pressue.

Question, my saddle seemed to fit correctly, but now after 3 months my horse is getting white hairs (like a big spot) on the left side below his wither.  It appears to be happening on the right side to )smaller white patch).  My horse is a chestnut and has white hairs coming in on his back side too...just not as concentrated.  Wondering if it is the saddle or pad (Have the wintec endurance with cair system) the pads velcro area holding the loops that keep the saddle on might also be the culprit..I ordered a Tolket Woolback with gel inserts for the saddle.  Any comments are gratefully appreciated..
