[RC] Muley feet - k s swigartLori B. said: With all this talk about Boa Boots, I was wondering if anyone knows how they work on a horse with hooves that more resemble a mules hoof than a horses hoof? My gelding was born with club feet on both front hooves. He had surgery to correct this, and is doing very well, but now has very straight, no flair, hooves. Definitely reminds me of a mules hoof. I am pretty sure an Easyboot will have trouble staying on, but what about these new Boa Boots? << I can't answer the question about Boa Boots, not having tried them, but I can say that you will probably have less trouble getting Easy Boots to stay on your horse's muley feet if these feet also have a "more upright heel." Since this is one of the things that Garrett Ford told me is a hoof shape that holds Easy Boots best and since it was NOT the shape of the feet that my horse had when I stopped by his place on the way to Renegade where he showed me how to put them on, foam and all (and no, I don't work for EasyBoot or Garrett Ford, he's just a really helpful guy :)). So you may want to try EasyBoots before you discount them. kat Orange County, Calif. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
