But I really hate being told by some company that I "can't" do this or that. Insurance companies aren't trying to run our lives. What insurance companies do is calculate risks and charge accordingly. If they don't charge extra for added risk, that means they will have to charge the people whose activities aren't higher risks more to cover the fact that they aren't charging the people whose activities are higher risks. So, unless you want to get charged for risks that you don't take, don't complain about getting charged for risks that you do :). Additionally, insurance companies don?t tell people that they "can't" do this or that. They just tell them that if they do, they aren't insured for it.
