Re: [RC] [RC] Horses!!! stop with the height - Amy D'AngeloI have no idea why I am responding to this, but what the heck. I haven't followed every post because I think it is so silly that people are complaining and comparing about the size of a horse. My guy is about 15.2(non-Arabian), was average. Then I started riding in CTR I feel like I am on a giant. The number of times I have fallen off my horse, there is a lot to be said for a smaller horse. Recently I was at "Over the Walls". Someone on a HUGE warm-blood came by and I felt like my guy was tiny. Size is all relative. It's what you feel comfortable on. I used to think I wanted a 16 hh horse, now I wouldn't go any higher, especially because I am afraid of heights! I am getting too old, I don't bounce as well as I once did. IF I was to buy another, I would go shorter. The other downfall to a tall horse is when you are trail riding, you are always the one getting caught up in the tree branches. This is one of the funniest threads I have seen. Usually there is breed bashing. Never have I heard size bashing. (At least when it came to horses that is) ;) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
