[RC] ? Refunds - Jonni JewellAnd we need to remember - we all do this for fun and it's just a sport. ?No need to make it so strict and penalty-ridden.<<< Tell that to the ride manager and or secretary who puts all the work into preparing trails, preparing paperwork, vet cards, managing the money etc. etc. etc. Oh sure, ride management is a barrel full of monkeys.......so much fun...especially when you get folks bitching in a public forum when things did not go right for THEM. Dawn, you may have a very different opinion on that statement after you manage a ride, and see it from the other side. It seems to often be a regional thing as to pre-entries, or enter when you get there. But what ever THAT management wants to do, they should make it clear ahead of time in writing, and then all the riders will know, and that is how it will be. Get this...at Tevis, "Cancellations received before 7/17/04( that was two weeks before the ride), as well as Pre-Ride veterinary pulls, will receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee." Yep, they keep $50 if you cancel, or your horse does not pass the pre-ride vet check. They don't need your excuses as to why you cancelled. It is in writing, and you agreed to it when you entered.
