I've not been in this sport very long but I
certainly don't pay the ride fee for the awards. Who ever heard of paying
$100 for a t-shirt!! That's just a nice extra. I'm in the sport for the absolute
thrill of setting a difficult goal and completing that goal with a healthy horse
and having a great time doing it. As a bonus my horse and I get our names
called out at the awards meeting, get our mileage and stats offically
posted and kept track of. The vet card is a valuable tool so I understand
getting that back and I appreciate the T-shirt or whatever ride management has
provided but I'm in their ride for the mileage completion! Thank you to all ride
