So my question regarding the herbal remedies is this--must the diet of a
normal horse include this specific substance?  If the answer is no, then
the substance is a violation of the AERC drug rule.  If the answer is yes,
then amounts needed to bring the diet up to needed levels are allowed--but
amounts in excess of that are not.

finally, a way of answering this question that i understand. i always  had a
little bit of difficulty accepting how much electrolytes are used and the
probiotics but now i can deal with it. thanks Heidi
