[RC] re: Tom Noll's BH ride - Cindy CollinsTom: You are truly a wonderful example to our sport. Thank you for your kind words and graciousness. I can't seem to get across the message that there are less than 10 people trying to hold this ride together and keep it going and that if you come to this ride, you need a crew/driver and that you cannot count on ride management to take care of your needs. This is not meant in any way negatively, it's just reality. There is NO ONE else out there to manage this ride. It's in an extremely isolated, rural, economically depressed area. The managers are elderly and so kind, they cannot seem to say no to people who call or ask them if they can ride without a crew/driver. These people want so badly to have people come and see their beloved trail, that they foolishly make promises to try to "help" everyone who comes unprepared. It is done with all the best of intentions...but, with disasterous results some times. Please, please, please...come ride the BH, but plan to provide your own support crew/driver.
