[RC] Hoosier Daddy - Peter DeMott (937) 478-6222The weather could not have been nicer on this ride with mild temps on Saturday (cool morning then perhaps high 70s) and just a bit warmer on Sunday (cool morning then mid to upper 80s) and low humidity/No rain. The starts of each ride went past a large farm pond making for some really cool reflection photos of the some of the starts. More experienced helpers chipped in at registration showing Edie and other less experienced help the methods to keep organized and keep things moving along (otherwise riders may have still been in line signing up when the rides started on the next day). Competitions were high and with over 150 riders (I think there were 160-170 total, but I am not sure of that number) there were only a few minor glitches in the entire event. Once my photos are up on my site, I will post a link. It will take me at least a week or maybe two to get them on the site as there were over 1000 photos taken. Great ride Ken and Edie. This was a HUGE ride and these new ride managers did a wonderful job! The trail was well-marked and beautiful. I finished the 25-mile Competitive ride on my young horse and had a GREAT time! Even though my gelding tripped over a root and did a head-over-heels flip, I can still say I had an enjoyable ride (just slightly bruised). My guardian angel enjoyed the ride, too! :) This is definitely a "must do" ride for next year!
