[RC] babysitters - firedancefarms"Back in the old days" there were so many kids in camp they just hung in a big group. They even had their own tent to sleep in. I think there were about 20 or so, ranging in age from 3 to 13. They just took care of each other. It was great. Then all of the kids started riding, and now we don't have hardly in kids "left in camp"..seems like by the time they are six or so they are off on the ride! When my kids were small, we even took a babysitter with us once. Sometimes you can find an older kid in camp to babysit. If there are others in your situation perhaps RM or someone local could find a "camp babysitter" that several people could chip in for. Be patient; they grow up and then they ride with you. And then when they start doing hundreds, and you do a 25, you end up crewing for them!! The Burtons, family mileage over 14,000 and no sign of slowing down...
