RE: [RC] mile markers on trail - David LeBlancCindy Collins said: Hi, David. All I can tell you is that in over 7500 miles of endurance competition, I've never had mile markers... Come and do Prineville sometime. Nice ride. They got permission from BLM or FS (dunno which) to put up little wood diamonds. occasionally I've had a sign that says 2 miles to vet check 3 or something like that. There's so much more that you can use. At about 1/2 the rides, maybe more, the RM tells you that it is some distance to where the trails cross, or where there is water. Sometimes down to the 1/10 of a mile. I use these to know what my pace is and to figure how far to the vet check. Though the markers are very nice, there's a lot more people can use, which was my point to Kristen. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
