[RC] Why you'd ride a horse you'd never been on - Cindy CollinsThis is hard to answer, but I will try since I've done it several times. You see, I always saw it as the ultimate compliment. The owner saw something in my riding that caused them to trust me with their horse and felt I had the ability to "read" that horse's needs on that day. What an honor, and what a responsibility! Because of this, I'm been able to ride some incredible horses, like Khalil (only a training ride, but it meant the world to me), Sierra Fadwah+/ (Hall of Fame), FM Fad Serene, Sierra Spunk, GE Dandy, Honey's Hot Shot, and MB's Liya. One of the greatest regrets, as I've shared before, is that I did not ride Smokey's Bandit on a ride when he was offered to me, but I did ride him bareback around an XP camp in 1984 and cherish that memory. I wouldn't just let any one off the streets ride one of my horses on a ride, but there are certainly endurance riders out there that I'd gladly allow to compete on one of my horses and be honored to have them do so.
