[RC] hauling postions - Dot WigginsWhen horses are hauled in large stock trucks, untied, they will often ride diagonally, facing forward or backward, by choice. Interestingly, the diagonal is usually driver's front side to passengers rear side. If there are several they often ride head to tail, each facing opposite directions. When I used to haul with straight loads the horses didn't handle the trip as well as in the slant loads, even with frequent stops to unload. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
