[RC] Who cares what it's called! - Kelly Lane

Hello! Whoa-all this energy invested in definitions of endurance, drawing lines and newbies vs. oldtimers. Call me naive but good lord-it seems to be much ado about nothing. I went to my first ride-the Hallelujah Benefit-and had an unbelievable blast. Everyone I met was absolutely the best from ride management to the riders and vets. I couldn't give a flying flip if anyone thought lesser of me for doing a 25 or for being a newbie though frankly I didn't get that feeling from the first person! It was all about the FUN, the comraderie and bonding with my horse. Frankly, I don't give a rats patoot about recognition or awards or "respect" from others. And when it stops being FUN (for either myself or my horse)- I'm outta there.
