Re: [RC] ? for the vets - terreI wouldn't get too "married" to this concept--the jury's not in yet. It is my understanding that in order to 'relieve pressure'--ie drain reflux--the inserted tube needs to be filled with fluid in order to start the siphoning process. So, some "fluid by stomach tube" is implied in the treatment; the purpose of putting this fluid in is possibly subject to misinterpretation. So, personally, if a horse of mine gets into trouble at a ride, I'm gonna do what the guy/gal with DVM after their name recommends. terre =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
