[RC] ? for the vets - terreA number of people, including me, have been calling for necropsies. My fear is that they may give us a cause of death without telling us WHY it happened. For example, we seem to be seeing a lot of ruptured stomachs. Here is my question: is it possible to have a ruptured stomach without having an impacted gut? The cause of death being "ruptured stomach" may be akin to saying a human died of a heart attack--because he was shot in the head.... So, is a ruptured stomach always due to an impaction, or can it happen spontaneously or for some other reason? and would that reason be obvious on necropsy?terre =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
