When Titles are Won. After a dog earns a title, it may continue showing in that class for 60 days.Weelllll.... in the interest of accuracy, one is not required to move up after 3 qualifying scores, but after 90 days after getting that third "Q",so sorry, your info above is not accurate. 90 days, 60 days... I sit corrected. The point is that the dog and handler aren't required to move up to the next level, just into a different division that is comprised of experienced handlers and/or dogs. there are just to many if, and or butts to quote regarding moving up in classification. some are aimed at the handlers and others aimed at the dogs. which gives us a tremendous amount of variables. And the details of which aren't important to the discussion at hand which is the possibility that Angie raised of newbies objecting to competing directly with high-mileage LDer's. What I do think can be gleaned from this is that other animal sports have already successfully handled this same issue. Maybe we can steal a good idea. :-)))) And it's also a good illustration of what too many rules can do to a good discussion. ;-)))) TTFN. Gotta go train the dog.
