[RC] distance between vet checks & speed - Jonni Jewell

Isn't it interesting that riders who do some of the Multi Day rides can do
so very well, day after day, with ONE vet check in 50 miles<gasp>, and
having to find their own water on the trail<double gasp>.  But then again,
they are wanting to make sure they have a horse healthy and ready to go
another day. Conditions get tough, they slow down...what a
concept..........a concept many one day riders just seem to not grasp.......
