Re: [RC] too much action? - rides2far

My Morgan mare comes from some show lines and has a lot of
action..especially
at her fast trot (which is 11 mph)

I remember Nina Warren saying "Lane" (very high mileage Morgan in the SE)
hit the ground "like a roto-tiller". She said, "Who would have ever
dreamed that horse would stay so sound". So, some of you who actually
remember him... was he "Parky?".

I have a daisy clipper and my daughter has a parky horse. My daisy
clipper has flipped with me 3 times in 9 years. Seems easier to trip.
Her "Parky" horse is more likely to put a foot directly down on a round
limb and his rear end will shoot out to the side but he seems to stay
upright which is a definate plus! :-) The parky horse is 21, has I think
2000 mi. and still competing very successfully. He has the most fluid
action you could ask for with no supplements at all. He doesn't really
step extremely high, but he does remind me of somebody pedeling a bicycle
at times. In the rear he reminds me of a football player doing the "run
through the tires" drill.
