The rest of us wear psycadelics to keep everyone guessing. The wilder the better. It's worth going to a ride just to observe. The first endurance ride I attended back in the 70's keep me smiling (laughing) for days when the first guy came buy in running shorts, tennis, spurs & no shirt... Then the girls came... Of course I did my first ride in LEVI jeans, boots, knee high cotten socks & rubbed myself, calves, & knees raw and cooked to death. I was to embarassed to wear 'breeches' so I work lt wt sweats. Cooler & softer than jeans but my husband took me aside & told me sweats did nothing for me & he thought I should give up vanity & go for the super wammy 4 way streach Schmachers breeches that came down to my ankles so I could wear tennis.... The wisest advice I ever received. Of course it wasn't long till I gave up all vanity & was wearing all colors of tights & the lighter weight the better. I can honestly say at 160# I have not worn a pair of jeans in 20 years. Stretch fabric is the only way to go. Be brave but don't buy tan or white! Check the endurance & trail riding tack stores on line... I love the saddle and so does my horse. I was reading all the posts on men in tights and thought OK, if men can do it so can I. I went and tried a pair on at my local store. I almost fell over laughing at myself in the mirror. The sales clerk asked if I was ok. Do you guys wear underwear with these things? You could almost see mine! And every bulge was exposed even though they were not that tight. What is my problem here? Color, brand? OR are they supposed to look like this?? HELP! They were light tan devon aire riding tights.
