[RC] generator - alternatives - DreamWeaverThe 4000 watt generator should work, depending upon the model (energy efficient?) of the a/c, size of your microwave and how long and often you use it along with other items that require power. Here is a link with a lot of info about RVing: http://www.phrannie.org/Couple of options for people who don't want to deal with generators -- go solar! Also, instead of a/c you can get an evaporative cooler (depending upon where you live and travel to) which will use a lot less power than a/c. I've got a Fantastic Fan in the new trailer that is on a thermostat, and it is really awesome -- it'll come on all by itself, close if it rains, and I don't have to turn on a generator to use it, just set it to come on at whatever temp I want and it does and in 5 minutes the inside of the LQ is perfectly comfortable even when it's 100 degrees+ outside. My friends haven't even lugged their generators out yet. :+P Happy Trails, Karen in NV =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
