Re: [RC] Sunburned nose - Lysane CreeI have been using Quic Shade by Exhibitor Labs...its a gel and it is SPF 15 and contains Vitamin E Doesn't run or attract dust. I've only been using it a short while on my pink-nosed Paint but it has worked well. Without any sun block it only takes a couple o hours for her to get dark pink blotches, eventually it will make scabs and dry peeling skin. It goes on clear and gives nose a little shine. Does have to be reapplied daily as far as I can tell. I have heard of some people using a fly mask that is made to cover the nose as well. Haven't tried this myself yet. Anyone know if human, waterproof sunscreen would be o.k. for horses? Hope that helps.
