[RC] [Guest] ride manager ??? - Ridecamp Guest

Something that I have been wondering about for several years-havent seen it
addressed before.  I am fairly new to this sport-rode in just a couple 50's
before moving here a couple of years ago so do not know if this is a common
occurance?  Ride manager leads group out in the morning setting a fast trot
for 1st mile before taking off at a blistering pace. Ride manager finished
in first place and takes BC.  Please no flames :) just wondering is all?
