[RC] ride manager ??? - Becky Hackworth

Controlled starts are done by someone that knows the trail, usually at a
walk from my experience.  Don't know about the race in question.  Only
occasionally is a RM in the race at all.

Something that I have been wondering about for several years-havent seen

addressed before.  I am fairly new to this sport-rode in just a couple

50's

before moving here a couple of years ago so do not know if this is a

common

occurance?  Ride manager leads group out in the morning setting a fast

trot

for 1st mile before taking off at a blistering pace. Ride manager finished
in first place and takes BC.  Please no flames :) just wondering is all?
