[RC] shoes and pad types - RENESPONY

Hi there
I had some questions/ideas about shoeing.
I've been really lucky to get horses with good feet, so there is no problems
and i want to keep it that way.
since i was planning on doing Vermont 50, and its mostly dirt roads from what
I've been hearing, what are some good shoes for shock absorbing.
i have easy boots but I'm still working on ways to keep them on this
particular horse.
i was hoping to put the easy boots on right over the shoes for that ride and
plan on trying them when all this mud dries up.
what about "jumper shoes" reg. steel shoes with a full pad and silicone
injected under them?
i have been putting shoes just on the fronts, with sure hoof medicated
packing material under the pad..( gee, wondering if a medicated packing is
legal??)
bandages, or protective leg wear is legal on endurance rides right?
How about splint boots, or sports medicine boots to absorb concussion?
I've noticed boots tend to hold in heat, so maybe i would want to leave them
off in the middle of the day to give him a break

                                                                   RENE
