Maybe we could just carry butane lighters, some lighter fluid , and jump off the horse, torch the poop and everyone would be happy.(oopps, then we'd put it out with our water bottle,can't have a forest fire !)

No, they are not a weed hazard. The heating process, even if not hot enough to "cook" the feed, is enough to disrupt the DNA in any germinal cells.
