<< Ramey - This is a great thing - congratulations on
putting it together! - but is it necessary
to charge for it? I think many would be more inclined
to attend if it didn't cost $50. Since you mentioned
proceeds going to a worthy AERC cause, I assume
that the speakers are donating their time?
Maybe people would like the option of attending
just one or two sessions.
Plus I would suggest a pre-registration to make sure
there are enough attendees to make it worth while for
the speakers.

Good thought...I will be unable to attend all day myself and in 14 years of
exhibiting at the AERC Convention I have NEVER been able to attend ANY of the
seminars. How about an AM and a PM session wiht or without lunch...for
instance $25.00 for either session, $10.00 for lunch and a discount of $50.00
for all day. I have no objection to paying a price. AERC needs to make
money and they make enough off me already (and other vendors..the trade show
and ad rates are out of line for the industry). This is one way to help
maintain services without gouging us with increased rates everywhere.
You do get what you pay for and these speakers should be good. The
Lexington, KY area is full of "experts" and research in the equine field.
Pre-registration could be $5.00 less per session and full price at the door
with the understanding if there are not enough pre-registrants, the seminars
would be cancelled. I do understand this part....
