You seem to think I'm trying to prevent resident aliens from voting. Not so.
I just don't think this wording of this ammendment isn't the way to go and I
was trying to get across my point on why and what another solution might be.

Eh, well, you're right. It doesn't effect me personally, so why do I care?

b) does affect a small number of AERC members who should
   legitimately be allowed to vote.

I figure the biggest problem with this amendment is that it
affects so few people that the majority of members won't
bother to vote, so it won't pass just because of apathy
(be interesting to see if this turns out to be the case).

Most of the vocal posts on the subject seem to reflect a
"no vote" (but are also mostly based on incorrect assumptions
or misunderstanding the issue).
