Re: [RC] [RC] Using breast collars on flat trails... - Laurie DurginHad a saddle roll on Honey in early training, she spooked, ran thru 2 fences and only stopped cause Rascal dashed across the pasture and whinnied to her. She stopped dead by the end of the pasture, shaking, saddle finally slipped off her.It just wasn't tight enough and a synthetic western.Set her training back alot. She never forgot it.Since then I never put a saddle on her or Rascal without a breastcollar. His saved my at least twice when saddle shifted, once at a runaway (other horse started it). Plus after his normal 4 poops on the hour ride, the saddle girth loosens some.(he also has a crupper ,as he is a barrel). Laurie (it is raining again when I planned to ride Honey!!!! ) Everyone, _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= http://www.endurance.net/ads/seabiscuit.html Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
