Re: [RC] [Guest] Long shirts for cool riding...what's best? - Heidi SmithI know that many people prefer to wear long sleeved men's button-up shirts on rides in the summer, to keep cool and to prevent sunburn (which happens only too easily on us fair skinned people!). I have another 50 in a couple of weeks that is going to be quite hot, and would like to buy a shirt to use. So my question is: for those of you that wear these shirts on rides, which type of shirt would you recommend? And where do you find them? Since it's a dry heat out here in CA, wetting the shirt down seems like the biggest plus to me, almost like built in air conditioning... :) I prefer western ones with snaps--easy to get off and on to dunk in water tanks, and resnap as you go down the trail. I like lightweight cotton ones, preferably oversized so that they are breezy underneath as well. Being in a rural ranching community, they are usually readily obtainable at thrift stores...
