I agree! Here is SoCal where it has been so dry, I have gotten three
mosquito bites all summer. I'm outside a lot. I ride a lot. Three bites. We
aren't exactly Louisiana here. There are not very many bugs. I think the
risk here is much lower than other states. WNV hasn't even gotten out here
yet, and the shots are very expensive.
There was a large article in the paper (LA times) earlier this month about
pet vaccinations. The latest info is that they think yearly vaccinations for
pets cause more harm than good. Especially for dogs and cats that don't
leave their own property.
