CONCLUYE LA PRIMERA ETAPA DEL RAID KALIBER TIERRAS DE AL-ANDALUS TRAS UN SPRINT RENIDO EN LA PLAYA DE SANLUCAR
Manana, la 2 etapa comienza en Sanlucar y terminara en el El Rocio, atravesando el Parque Natural de Doñana
Cadiz, 27 de Marzo.- Hoy ha dado comienzo la primera etapa del Raid Kaliber Tierras de Al-Andalus, la prueba hipica mas dura del calendario de competiciones internacionales. El recorrido que este ano sigue la ruta del Guadalquivir ha inaugurado su cuarta edicion desde la provincia de Cadiz, saliendo desde Jerez de la Frontera y llegando a meta en la playa de Sanlucar de Barrameda.
A lo largo de casi de 63 km, los jinetes han podido disfrutar del sabor tan especial que tiene la tierra de Andalucía a traves de su paisaje y de la playa. Esta primera etapa, a su vez se dividia en dos fases con un descanso de 30 minutos y control veterinario o "Vetgate" en Trebujena, donde los caballos deben pasar una prueba de pulso y otra de galope demostrando que estan en perfectas condiciones para continuar. Ademas lo largo del recorrido los jinetes cuentan con diferentes puntos de asistencia y agua.
Aunque el tiempo al comenzar la prueba no acompañaba demasiado, poco a poco el sol se ha ido haciendo presente en el ambiente, un factor que condiciona directamente el rendimiento del caballo en cada jornada, y que no ha impedido que desde los primeros kilometros se formara un grupo de cuatro jinetes en cabeza, integrado por el extremeno Inigo del Solar montando a ZAFIA-50, la catalana Emma Rosell con AL-JATIB, la andaluza Iris Janowski con ERITREA y el portugues Joaquim Cruz con XL. En Trebujena el cuarteto de cabeza ya tenia una ventaja de varios minutos y en Sanlucar llegaron con casi diez minutos sobre sus mas inmediatos perseguidores. En el sprint final gano ZAFIA-50 con Inigo del Solar delante de AL-JATIB con Emma Rosell y de ERITREA con Iris Janowski, que consiguieron las bonificaciones de 10, 5 y 3 minutos por sus victorias.
En la categoria de binomios gano el joven jinete de Sanlucar de Barrameda Eduardo Sanchez Hidalgo que debutaba en el raid en casa y con su caballo HERMES, delante del jerezano Manuel Narbona con GOLFO-TURISMO-JEREZ y de Claudia Lorenzo con CAMILA-AV, pero el control final GOLFO no obtuvo el visto bueno de los veterinarios con lo que CAMILA-AV subio al segundo peldano, delante de Andres Velez, tercero con PIRATA.
Este ano estan inscritos en el raid 21 binomios (jinete y caballo) y 22 equipos (dos caballos y dos jinetes o un jinete), asi como ha aumentado el numero de jinetes internacionales participantes. El exito del raid consiste en reunir tres ingredientes indispensables: resistencia, velocidad y habilidad, pues no se trata de llegar el primero a la meta, si no en ir dosificando al caballo a lo largo de cada fase para que una vez en el Vetgate y en la llegada, no superare las 56 pulsaciones por minuto. Los veteranos que ya conocen el Raid afirman que "merece la pena perderlo por disfrutar del paisaje".
A la pregunta de -que por que el caballo? Jose Manuel Soto, fundador y presidente del comite organizador del Raid Kaliber Tierras de Al-Andalus, nos han contestado "que no hay mejor companero ni mejor forma de perderse por la naturaleza".

Cadiz, March 27 .- Today has begun the first phase of Tierras Kaliber Raid Al-Andalus, the toughest test on the Equestrian calendar of international competitions. This year there are 21 pairs enrolled in the race (rider and horse) and 22 teams (two horses and a rider or two riders) and there is an increase in the number of participating international riders. The success of the event is to meet three essential ingredients: strength, speed and skill, because it is not just the first to reach the finish, the horse must be ridden carefully so that once in the Vetgate and on arrival, the heart rate does not exceed 56 beats per minute. Veterans who already know the event that "it is worth sacrificing the scenery."
