consider
it malpractice to try to send it out again the next day. You stated that
your CC was
primarily for horses that tie up early and regularly. This is a totally
different
syndrome than we see at endurance rides with horses tying up after 30-40
miles. Your
chronically tying up horses early in exercise are classic for the
polysaccharide storage
myopathy and yes, those individuals benefit from consistent work, no days
off. Strongly
suggest you seek out the references from Valberg and Valentine-some really
good science
there.

I am quite familiar with the literature, thank you. Let me suggest that,
having reviewed your input for a couple of years here, you might benefit from
a more wide-ranging literature review.
I did not state that a horse tying up at the end of a ride could be "cured"
with carbs or chromium--that was someone else's wild extrapolation. My
statement was in reply to someone who had a horse that was tying up on her
every day, or nearly every day, before any serious exercise could be
accomplished. In this circumstance, CC at night stops the syndrome cold.
Every time.
