RE: Trails funding - DISCUSSION
The AERC Board Meetings are not closed. In fact, they are a forum that you
need to attend before you complain about anything that is done therein.
Among many things it was stated <<< we were never asked our opinion. never
asked for input. An organization that does NOT involve the people >>>
You elected you representatives call Regional Directors. They are the ones
to com-plain to, not the people on line. They are the persons you chose to
do what you want. Your complaint rests with them.
I am sure the AERC is a member of the AHC as this was mandated by a previous
Board a number of years ago. As for "news" from the AHC, when I headed an
organization that belonged (Idaho Horse Council) there was very little of
interest and their attention to Endurance and/or Trails is minimal.
I feel that most of you are complaining for the sake of complaint. Get
constructive for a change. I posed a challenge in my prior posts and have
seen no worthwhile answers.

Subject: Trails funding - DISCUSSION
YES, YES, YES!!!! My biggest bitch was the fact the we (AERC members, not
just
vendors) we were never asked our opinion. never asked for input. An
organization
that does NOT involve the people (like the US Government) becomes an unliked
and
untrusted entity.
You know as well as I that the Trails Fund has always been there and that
little
constructive has been done.
OK: For starters, I don't believe AERC is a member of the American Horse
Council. I asked some time ago and got the response "I don't know" from
someone
in the AERC office...too long ago for me to remember who. If we were, we
should
advertise the fact and get news in "Endurance News".
For those of you who don't know who or what the American Horse Council is,
go
