Cold backed horse/preride vet check
We just bought a 10 year old Arabian gelding and would like to do some
50s on him. However, he is what some people refer to a "cold backed."
If you run your hands over his back prior to riding him, sometimes he
will dip his back and make you think he is sore backed. We had a saddle
custom made for him. We have now discovered that he will sometimes dip
like this prior to a ride, but AFTER riding him, he will be absolutely
fine. My question is: On a preride vet check, would the vets just
disqualify him thinking he was sore? If so, then we can probably never
do endurance on him.
