Thanks to everyone's response about my query.  We still don't know for sure
if that horse died from red maple poisoning but I have learned a LOT which
WILL be passed on to everyone I know!!  In fact, I think I am going to
include a "stuff poisonous to horses" list in my next newsletter!!  I am
happy to report that the young lady who lost her horse is onto a couple of
hot prospects we told her about (she may end up with both!) and has
promised to come to at least one novice ride next year with her new horse!!
 :)  Either horse should be well suited for it!  Thanks again everybody!
