Willie the trusty six year old loves to be out at nite, and is perfectly
willing to take trails in the dark at breakneck speeds I wouldn't even
attempt in broad daylight. With the easyboot pack, waterbottle, and my lucky
dogtags hung from his saddle, we sound a lot like a back-country garbage
truck rattling along on the trail. As for the brain fluid leakage, I am not
a fan of helmets, but AM religious about wearing the thing at night. I've
adopted sort of a top-of-the-head pointed down the trail while peering up
from deep beneath the visor posture when riding at night, one arm extended in
a puny attempt to ward off slapping branches...I just hope my dressage coach
never sees me...
