Several years ago my mare somehow found some barbed wire in her new pasture 
and was cut all across her chest and around both ankles.We treated her with 
Furicine and had no proud flesh at all.In fact it is hard to see any places 
at all.Its pretty common here ( KY ) to use it in sweats for race horses as 
well as yearlings and the like.I have never heard of any problems with it 
myself not to say that some people have not had them though.RD
