Re: Question on a splint.
When it starts to bother her, or in the off season, your vet can remove the
lower half of the splint bone, smooth the rest and cure the problem. I had
it done to a horse with good effect a few years ago.
The recuperation was stall rest with tight bandaging for two weeks. Small
paddock for two weeks. Then turn out and the general reconditioning.
