Question on a splint.
Hi. I was in a 15 mile novice ride (yes, I am still a newbie) and the vet
said my 12 yr. old mare had a splint that was rubbing on a tendon in her
front right leg. Does anyone know if that will hinder her progress as a
future endurance horse? It doesn't bother her yet. Is this something that
will later? We love to play with jumps, just 12 inchers and lots of trail
rides. She's only been on trail for 1 year. I've owned her for 2 yrs. and the
last owners did nothing with her. She weaves when left alone in her stall, so
we avoid that. But, when we go to a ride, she'll weave till she's dripping
wet if there isn't another horse in her corral. Does anyone have any
comments? Thanks, Deb and Sha Gay (no, I am not gay Barb)
