re: Upcoming Elections & Bylaw

I have a question on LD being recognized as being 0-49 miles.
Suppose you have a 13 or 15 mile ride. What rules would govern
this ride. The same rules as the LD's? In CTR with rides that
short, there is a "window" to keep people from running a race
for 15 miles. The "window" and surprise checks are meant for
people being introduced to endurance learn how to pace
themselves,
not run. So does that mean that AERC has to come up with a whole
new set of rules to regulate the "pleasure" or "introductory"
distances? And what is the purpose of that since CTR already
exists and is doing just fine in that department. I guess I am
a little confused at to how this would work. Does anyone know?
