What kind of trailer does your friend have??  If it is a two horse, try 
either removing the divider entirely or swinging it over to the side kind of 
like a slant load.  I used to have a horse that scrambled, and she couldn't 
be shipped in a straight load trailer without moving the divider.  When the 
divider was moved she was fine.  I hope this helps!!
