that picture is cute, but kind of silly. it reminds me of my cousin, who at
5 years old, was put on reservation ponies at the horse sale in a little
tiny pen. people would see her on the ponies and think they were soooo
gentle and sweet. of course, she was in a pen so tiny the horse couldn't do
anything, but people ate it up and bought the horses for up to $125 at that
time (20 some years ago that was a great price for a pony off the
reservation).
i've been seeing a lot of pictures of stallions both on the internet and in
print with children on them, holding them, or just standing by them that
supposedly show how gentle the horse is - funny how over the years the
tricks for selling horses (and now ZEBRAS) stay the same!

(disclaimer: i'm not saying that some stallions/animals aren't that gentle,
but i'd bet a lot of those pictures are used to create an illusion of
gentleness and safety that doesn't exist in real life.)
