Losing people shoe
Turns out that Chris and friends maintain that trail...that's excellent,
but if this is a STUMP, to me this goes beyond just friendly volunteer
maintenance. You're right, Patty, kneeknocking and footcatching is
often the rider/horse cutting too close to the tree, and landowners are
always nervous ( with much justification). But here in Marin County, if
it were a public agency and I were to take that shoe to them and say,
Friends, what can we do about that stump? we would very likely get some
remedial work going. Cheers (;-), Connie B (Nuke That Stump!)
