Please forgive me if I sounded as if I were flaming you, I was not and
apologize if that's how you took it. I was just..well, concerned. As you
know, geriatric horses are a relatively new part of horse care, until a few
years ago, horses just didn't LIVE that long! Nowadays........my neighbor has
a QH gelding who's 34! His teeth are just nubs, but he still does well on
grass and Equine Senior.

My point of the letter was, I'm new at this. Not at horse keeping, but at OLD
horse keeping. Jordan is by far the oldest horse I've ever owned. I worry
that maybe I'd doing something wrong by turning him out on pasture, and was
hoping perhaps someone, like you, could enlighten me. I don't think I'll have
any troubles with him, he's been eating green grass all winter long (here in
the PNW, things grow during the winter..they have to or they drown...).
And Jordan is an Arab, and is a very easy keeper, judging by his shape. And
grey, though you'd never tell it by looking at him, the little mudpig.

Michelle and Jordan, the not so svelte mudpuppy.
