Hi, Campers,
My computer is in a snit, won't allow me to snip a line from a letter in
ridecamp 575. Did I read Nancy from Maryland's letter correctly? That her 26
yr old gelding will founder on PASTURE? Would this be because her pasture has
been assayed at 21% protein? Or is this grass founder?? This scares me,
because I'm about to move Jordan (22 years old) to full pasture....five acres
all to himself!! While my grass out here isn't that lush bluegrass Nancy has
in Maryland, it can get pretty lush. I think it's mostly Idaho fescue, and
rye grass.
Boy, I sure hope I read that wrong.
Also, re: ear crud. While it's unsightly, I never clip the hair out of my
horses ears. They're as hairy as Great Uncle Joe's. My horses have never had
a problem with ear crud..I don't think the flies are strong enough to fight
their way through that forest of hair!
