Dawna,

SSB is Spanish Stud Book.  If you go back far enough in the spanish lines 
they have a lot of Crabbet, some Polish, and some desert imports.  The 
Spanish Arabians are noted for good bone and tractable temperaments.  If you 
can give me some more names on SSB side of the pedigree, I might recognize 
some of them.
